“You must be the change you wish to see.”
Mahatma Gandhi
Our thoughts, feelings and actions related to the food choices we make each meal have been conditioned since an early age. It is only when we become aware and gain control of our thinking that we can over this process empowering us to make healthier decisions in properly nourishing our bodies. Our conditioned mind can get in the way of incorporating healthy habits.
We are bombarded every day by multiple non-healthy temptations from all areas in our life. Some of us manage to block these out, but most of us fail. Without a way to counteract these temptations it is no wonder why so few people succeed in mastering their health.
Simple 10 Step Process
I will be taking you through a 10 step process that will ultimately strengthen your mental power to succeed in spite of what goes on around you. In other words, your external environment will no longer have influence over you like it does right now. I will be taking you through a series of steps designed to clean out some of your old conditioned mind programs and replacing them with new ideas to help you permanently master your health.
You will learn how to take responsibility for your decisions by gaining the proper thinking that will lead to change. Your ability to see foods for what they really are will make the process of reinforcing proper habits effortless.
There is only one thing I must ask for and that is your permission. Are you ready to make a commitment to take your energy, health and vitality to a whole new level? Now let's start with step #1:
STEP 1- Reasons to Get Healthy vs. Reasons to Stay Unhealthy
Let’s begin with the reasons why we are all going to commit to health. Because there are two sides to everything we will make a list of reasons to get healthy and reasons to stay unhealthy.
Let’s make a list:
HEALTHY LIST
1. Fully Enjoy Life
2. Live With Vitality
3. Not be in pain
4. For your spouse and kids
5. Having the energy to do more
6. Really succeed in life
7. Inspire others
8. Take all of the essential nutrients daily
9. Stay sharp and keep a clear mind
10. Always be your best
UNHEALTHY LIST
1. Eat as much and whatever I want
2. Instant pleasure attitude
3. Smoking and Drinking is cool
4. I want to do what everyone else does
5. I’ll be O.K, nothing will happen to me
6. Healthy foods don’t taste good
7. I’ll do that when I’m older
8. Vegetables make me sick
9. I live for dessert
10. My four food groups are McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell and Wendy’s
Without strong enough reasons and a burning desire it will be difficult to convince yourself that this is worth it. Your reasons will inspire you, reinforce your decision every day, keep you on the path. They must not be treated lightly. If this list does not motivate you than you must spend more time here before moving to the next step. What will it take for you to take this seriously? Are you willing to risk your life on putting this off until something major happens?
Let me tell you what changed my life about 23 years ago…
My Own Story
When I was 19 years old I took an anatomy class in College and the lab portion of the class required us to work on cadavers, or dead bodies. Imagine how shocking it was to me when the professor announced that the 42 year old gentlemen we were working on had died of a heart attack and had followed an “average American diet” high is sugars, junk foods and dangerous fats.
As we looked inside of this man’s body his arteries were filled with “worms” of fat. His heart had no chance to pump the blood properly though his body with all his extra fat and triglycerides in he way. This was my personal wake up call. The moment when I made a decision to commit to health and avoid getting sick, getting some terrible disease or dying early.
I also committed to learning which foods to eat and which foods to stay away from. This experience made such a dramatic impact on me that I went home the following weekend and convinced my parents to empty out all of the cupboards and refrigerator of the high sugar, high salt, high fat junk foods and snacks. We made a pact as a family to start making better choices as to what was going into our bodies.
Incredible Results
Over the last 23 years I have been very focused in learning, living, educating and inspiring others to apply the principles I have discovered to be life changing. My own energy levels hover between a 9 and 10 from the time I wake up in the morning to the time I go to bed at night. My blood sugar levels are balanced and I maintain great mental clarity all day long. I sleep very deeply at night and wake up totally rejuvenated and ready to attack each day. My recovery from workouts in incredible and my flexibility, strength and overall health is off the charts! I reached this level by following a specific system of eating, exercising and energizing that works.
Over the past 10 years I have worked with some of the top Professional, Olympic and top Collegiate athletes in just about every sport. Gold medal winners, professional athletes making millions of dollars each year, and one athlete that I consulted ran 120, 26.2 mile marathons in 120 days covering 3,150 miles. He literally ran from California to New York! Is it possible to accomplish amazing things when you are healthy, full of energy and your mind in working at 100%? You bet it is.

A Special Story
The Seed
An emperor in the Far East was growing old and knew it was time to choose
his successor. Instead of choosing one of his assistants or his children,
he decided to do something different. He called young people in the kingdom
together one day.
He said, "It is time for me to step down and choose the next emperor. I
have decided to choose one of you." *The children were shocked, but the
emperor continued. "I am going to give each one of you a seed today -- one
very special seed. I want you to plant the seed, water it, and come back
here one year from today with what you have grown from this one seed. I
will then judge the plants that you bring, and the one I choose will be the
next emperor."
One boy, named Ling, was there that day and he, like the others, received a
seed. He went home and excitedly, told his mother the story. She helped him
get a pot and planting soil, and he planted the seed and watered it,
carefully. Everyday, he would water it and watch to see if it had grown.
After about three weeks, some of the other youths began to talk about their
seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow. Ling kept checking his
seed, but nothing ever grew. Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by,
still nothing. By now, others were talking about their plants, but Ling
didn't have a plant and he felt like a failure.
Six months went by--still nothing in Ling's pot. He just knew he had killed
his seed. Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing. Ling
didn't say anything to his friends, however. He just kept waiting for his
seed to grow.
A year finally went by and all the youths of the kingdom brought their
plants to the emperor for inspection. Ling told his mother that he wasn't
going to take an empty pot. But his mother asked him to be honest about
what happened. Ling felt sick at his stomach, but he knew his mother was
right. He took his empty pot to the palace. When Ling arrived, he was
amazed at the variety of plants grown by the other youths. They were
beautiful--in all shapes and sizes. Ling put his empty pot on the floor and
many of the other children laughed at him. A few felt sorry for him and
just said, "Hey, nice try."
When the emperor arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted the young
people. Ling just tried to hide in the back. "My, what great plants, trees,
and flowers you have grown," said the emperor. "Today one of you will be
appointed the next emperor!"
All of a sudden, the emperor spotted Ling at the back of the room with his
empty pot. He ordered his guards to bring him to the front. Ling was
terrified. H e thought, "The emperor knows I'm a failure! Maybe he will have
me killed!"
When Ling got to the front, the Emperor asked his name. "My name is Ling,
he replied. All the kids were laughing and making fun of him. The emperor
asked everyone to quiet down. He looked at Ling, and then announced to the
crowd, "Behold your new emperor! His name is Ling!"
Ling couldn't believe it. Ling couldn't even grow his seed. How could he be
the new emperor?
Then the emperor said, "One year ago today, I gave everyone here a seed. I
told you to take the seed, plant it, water it, and bring it back to me
today. But I gave you all boiled seeds that would not grow. All of you,
except Ling, have brought me trees and plants and flowers.
When you found that the seed would not grow, you substituted another seed
for the one I gave you. Ling was the only one with the courage and hone sty to bring me a pot with my seed in it. Therefore, he is the one who will be
the new emperor!"
If you plant honesty, you will reap trust. If you plant humility, you will
reap greatness.
If you plant perseverance, you will reap victory. If you plant hard work,
you will reap success.
Two thousand years ago someone else told the same story with fewer words.
What you sow, so shall you reap.
